PSYCHOSIS DEATH (Brazil):
The label Tormented Undead is a work created with divulgation objective, without profitability. With this intention the label releases at Brazil the first demo of Weapon. Weapon is the first Black Metal band from Bangladlesh. The Weapon sonority has influences of Black Metal of the eighties, like bands Mystifier, Abhorer, Mortuary Drape and other. The damned sonority of the demo is a return to the origins of the eighties Metal! If you never heard a demo recorded in the eighties, with certainty you won't like this demo a lot... but if you is fan of eighties demo, you will love Weapon, therefore the style of recording is rough and primitive! The music of Weapon possess a heavy sonorous structure, constituted by strong bases that become fast riffs, increasing the sound potency of the band, however it prevails the parts of pure weight. Tormented by the Undead from Brasil, that is a kind of promoter, sent me this tape that is the southamerican version of the Thai Weapon's Demo. I received this Demo Tape a couple of weeks ago, but unfortunately I couldn't review it because I couldn't listen to it in a good way; I tried it in 4 stereos without having any success; at the last intent I could hear this Demo, but this one had a terrible sound, the volume and clarity were suffering a constant variation (I guess it is just in my copy), but in the few minutes I could hear (because the 2 last tracks were more clear), Weapon is a Black Metal band, but with a more 80's South American sound tendency, with influences of bands like Mystifier, Mortuary Drape, Vulcano, among others. Even the sound (thanks to the few minutes I could listen to) is very influenced by the old sound of South American bands, a very dirty and raw sound. Personally, I liked this band, but unfortunately I kept waiting for listening to this Demo without the necessity of getting my ear close to the speaker of the stereo.

Você já ouviu falar em Bangladesh? Bangladesh, para quem não sabe é um país asiático, pobre prá cacete e logicamente muçulmano prá variar, até aí tudo bem, mas o que tem á ver com esta resenha? Daí que o Weapon, a horda em questão é a primeira (e talvez única) banda de Black Metal daquele país de onde eu nunca esperaria nada relativo á metal, quiçá Black Metal! E eles lançaram no ano passado (2004) a demo "Whitin the Flesh of the Satanist" via InCoffin Productions da Tailândia que conseqüentemente foi lançado aqui no Brasil graças ao guerreiro Hugo que inventou o selo Tormented by the Undead somente para lançar esta fitinha do Weapon, ou seja, o selo não vai lançar mais nada, somente "Whitin the Flesh of the Satanist". A pergunta talvez que fique para o banger leitor que se preza á conferir esta resenha seria o seguinte, será que uma fita cassete de uma banda do Bangladesh merece tanto reconhecimento assim por parte de algumas pessoas? E a resposta certa que eu dô como um apaixonado pelo underground seria, é lógico, sempre! Partindo pela essência extrema que o underground transmite e a merda que muitos fazem dizendo-se e passando-se por blackmetaller colocando a porra da xenofobia como tema faz com que uma simples fitinha lançada no Bangladesh por dois malditos guerreiros tenha um valor dobrado! E não só pela atitude, não só pelo ato de se fazer Black Metal por aquelas bandas, a sonoridade do Weapon é preciosa, extrema e fudida! Segue uma linha Raw, porém tem muito do Black Metal oitentista de bandas como o Mystifier, Abhorrer (eles mesmo citam como influência e é impossível não sentí-la) onde sonoridade graves e secas se faz presente, numa diversidade de linhas, caminho entre o heavy/thrash e o black metal, é verdade que a gravação está um tanto abafada e ruinzinha porém qualquer sente o clima presente por exemplo em "I Abhorrer, Father of Sin", a maravilhosa "Cancerous Qaatabon" e a pertubadora e maldita "Within the Flesh of the Satanist" prá encerrar o material. Viradas infernais nas baquetas, vocais rasgados porém nada artificial, algo muito comum hoje em dia onde a tecnologia impera. Infelizmente não dá para saber pelas informações contidas no material gráfico (que também é muito bom e informativo) quem executa qual instrumento e se algum músico convidado participou da gravação, ou então detalhes da produção.
Mas, prá finalizar de ante-mão eu digo sem dúvidas, Weapon é uma puta de uma banda, a impressão que se tem é que se trata de uma gravação antiga realmente de alguma banda que já bateu as botas. Altamente recomendado para reais apreciadores das extremas gravações underground, entrem em contato com o Hugo pois é bem possível que a fitinha esteja acabando, a minha é a fita 19 de um total de 66.

It is one of the most primitive sounds I have ever heard!!! Saturated to he extreme!!! I must be honest, I still have to get into it, but I defnitely think is is above average: the songs structure emanate evilness...and the atmosphere... is there.. like a traded tape from days of yore!!!
